Dear SahyaMitras,

As long awaiting days, we all are eagerly waiting for treks to experience real beauty of Mother Nature. We are extremely delightful to announce forth-coming trek……… Fort Salher

The venue for the trek is ' Fort Salher ' on Friday 22nd November 2008. But we will start our journey on Friday, i. e. 21st November 2008.
Please conforms your availability before 14th Nov. and booking amount (Rs. 500) should be paid before 15th Nov.

We all trek lovers will gather on Friday, i. e. 21st November 2008 at Mumbai Central Bus Depot. At sharp 7.00.

We will proceed to 'Salher' by ST Bus.


Event Details:-
Venue: - Salher (REGION: North west of Nasik).
Contribution: - Rs. 700 /-
Date & Day: - 22-23 Nov 2008, 2 Day Trek.
Meeting Spot: - Mumbai Central Bus Depot.
Meeting Time: - 7:00pm sharp. (21 Friday, Nov. 2008).

So hurry up guys, please confirm your availability to us as early as possible, so that we can plan accordingly……..

IMP Note: -
• Please carry next day lunch.
• Carry 2 liter water / bottle compulsory.
• Don't' carry valuable things.
• Extra clothes, Sleeping mat, Bed sheet and Torch, Trekking shoes compulsory.
• Self Medicine prescribed by your family doctor.


Trek Attractions
• Lord Parshuram Temple : It is the at the highest point of the fort, housing the idol of Lord Parshuram and His 'Paduka' carved in stone.
• Gangasagar Lake: A huge cistern hewn out of rock with a pole in the center. It is believed that Goddess Ganga emerges in this lake every 12 years and the water turns white. The locals then hold a festival to celebrate the same and worship the Goddess.
• Renuka Devi and Ganesh Temples : Adjoining the lake are the roofless temples of Renuka Devi and Lord Ganesh.
• Yadna Kund : A pit crafted in a rock to perform various rituals.
• Rock Cut Caves: There are number of rock cut caves crafted out of various cliffs of the fort
• Rock Cut Steps: Steps are hewn out of rock on both the routes to facilitate reaching the top.
